Shhh…they’hearya

Gotta type this as quiet as possible cause they gettin closer and I gettin short with the time. Used to be we was all free and could do and say what we wanted in a free country like this one we had here but not no more. Ain’t free and can’t say nothin but can still type. Not sure where these words goin’ but they gotta be goin’ somewhere I think just not sure where. Don’t know who might ever see em or hear what we had little left to say…they comin, I hear them and know they gettin closer all the time. Can’t find the keys and can barely see any of the words im tyin. No light, theyd see that and then I’m done. Gotta get my wits all round me and say somethin here but what what what!?!?. Its all over, there ain’t no one left no more I think its just me and they comin. What can I say to someone who might see all this years down from now? How to warn or how to get you to know all they did in just a few quick time years. Family gone, I don’t know where to and I ain’t seen the sunlite in could be years by now. Barely survivin and just tryin to make it another day but ain’t no more time. How did all this happen and how could it ever be changed- they control it all, ain’t nothin left to use to fight. No words no freedom no guns no ammunition no weapons and no people left to fight cuz they all been done away with in just a few short years. Me too soon too. Done and never knowin where my family went, not even sure how far I came from home when it was home all that long ago time ago. They won and the people just let em keep taking away things until freedom was all gone and no more. But what to say, how to warn. Man I hear them up there digging and talking and yelling. Men and dogs and some sort of engine noise like they diggin and diggin cuz they know I’m here even tho the sky don’t see me here but not sure how they know unless someone else knew and told em but who and what difference now? Read and be warned and try to hold on or fight even if you DIEd. Livin like all this ain’t livin and if we had only fought back or tried to sooner soon it was later and we were all done in real quick and quicker than the old ones thougth could be. They ran over us, through us, past us and some of us made it down here but it’s over, I’m all that’s left and they comin for sure…

gotta do what I never thought I could or would but they ain’t catchin me. Jus gotta find a place to leave this and hope one day but how or who don’t know just gotta go and hope there something is better over there on that side…no time.god bless any that’s left and any may come sometime to save what probly wont even be left no anyhow…shhhh..why…

An NBA Discussion

The Bulls lost last night and are out of the playoffs.

Donald Sterling has been banned from the league for life yesterday. He’ll likely wind up selling the team.

Larry Johnson said that blacks should have a league of their own.

Say what?? Ok, let’s have that (national) conversation:

S:   Yeah, LJ2 thinks we should have a league of our own man.
R:   All brothers?
S:   Unh-huh.
R:   Coaches & players?
S:   Unh-huh.
R:   Refs?
S:   Unh-huh.
R:   How ‘bout the owners?
S:   Maybe not right away but, yeah, sure, why not?
R:   Right, yeah, why not.
S:   It’s beautiful man, we should do it.
R:   We?
S:   Yeah, we need to do it!
R:   Where would we start man?
S:   Right where we are. Just convert over.
R:   What about the white players?
S:   Dey gone.
R:   Latin players?
S:   Ha! Get serious man! I’m talkin’ hoops not kickball!
R:   Where do they go?
S:   Maybe form their own league.
R:   Wouldn’t that be racist tho?
S:   Um, yeah maybe. Still, if we said it was ok, that we were cool with it and all.
R:   So an all-white league.
S:   Yeah and all-black league.
R:   And they could play each other in a Superbowl or World Series kinda thing!
S:   Uh, yeah,,,um..heeheehee…
R:   Why you laughin’ man?
S:   Imagine the best all-black team against the best all-white team.
R:   Yeah, I see what-
S:   Might be cool if you had a no-jumpin’ rule! Ha!
R:   Ok, ok. Seems kinda like segregation though.
S:   Yeah, ok, but they done it to us and we can do it right back.
R:   And then-
S:   Hey wait, hey wait!
R:   What?
S:   We could even allow the “N” word in the league- total “in yo face NFL” move, you know?
R:   All black..
S:   Sure man.
R:   Would whites be allowed to watch, to come to the games?
S:   Good question but sure, for awhile I guess. But later on-
R:   And what companies would be allowed to endorse the leagues?
S:   Like the fans man- white companies for the AWL and black for the ABL.
R:   You got names already?
S:   That’s the easy part bro, c’mon!
R:   How do you define white and black companies?
S:   Simple man, by who owns them!
R:   What if they are public and owned by everybody?
S:   Huh? Ok, maybe by who runs them then- the CEO, y’know?
R:   And if a black CEO replaces a white one the company would have to switch leagues?
S:   Yeah yeah yeah man. You getting’ it!
R:   Sounds real complicated.
S:   Not really man.
R:   Is there enough black money to support the same salaries?
S:   Huh?
R:   If only blacks can watch and only black companies can sponsor then is there enough money?
S:   Sure sure sure man.
R:   I’m not so sure man.
S:   Why not?
R:   It sounds complicated.
S:   It ain’t.
R:   Sounds kinda racist.
S:   Not if we say it’s cool.
R:   Sounds like we movin’ back to segregation.
S:   Cept we in the house now.
R:   Not sure the money and support would be there.
S:   It would, it would man! Why you so damn negative?
R:   Just sayin…
S:   Look, Mr. Larry Johnson knows what he’s talkin’ about.
R:   You sure?
S:   Sure I’m sure. LJ2 ain’t no dumb nitwit bro…

The Bulls lost last night and are out of the playoffs…

…and I think I am finally off of the NBA for good.

Twenty Questions

“Okay, cool.  Person or persons, I mean people.  Right?”

“Yep.  Go!”

“Ok ok ok.  Man or woman?”

“Both.”

“Ok ok.  I’ll take the female path then.  Age?”

“Between thirty-five and fifty-five.  That’s two.  Next?”

 “Younger than, say, fifty-five?”

“Yes.”

“Straight?”

“Yep.  That’s four. Time’s running.”

“Married or divorced?”

“Married.”

“Kids?”

“Yes.”

“Own or rent?”

“Own.”

“Member of NOW or any similar woman’s advocacy group?”

“No, not for a long time.  Up to eight.  Go!”

“Shoot, ok ok. “

“Church goer?”

“Sometimes, yes.”

“Works?”

“Yes.  Needs to help the family.”

“Teacher?”

“Nope.  Eleven.”

“So no teacher’s union but are her or her husband a member of any union?”

“No.”

“Family on any government aid or similar assistance?”

“None, no.  Thirteen.  Six left.  Go man go!  Two minutes..”

“Suburban or urban.”

“Suburban.”

“Middle class or rich?”

“Middle class.  Fifteen, three to go!”

“Citizen?”

“Yep, her and her husband born here.  Both citizens.”

“Supported full amnesty.”

“No, completely against it.”

“Let’s see…supported the new national marijuana legalization act?”

“No.  They both believe all drugs are potentially bad and the kids should not use.  That’s what the card says anyway.”

“Did she support Obamacare or the newer single payer system?”

“Neither.  One left.  One minute.”

“Ok ok ok.  Lemme see.  Oh yeah I got it I got it!  Is her demographic growing or shrinking?”

“Shrinking, and fast but not fast enough if I can interject an opinion.  Questions done, time almost up.  Review requested?”

“Yes please.”

“Straight, married woman somewhere between thirty-five and fifty-five.  Her and her husband have kids, attend church at least sometimes, and both work but neither is in a union.  The family is a middle-class one living in the suburbs.  They are not on any government aid or assistance and do not believe in drugs or Obamacare or single-payer health systems.  The woman is not a member of any woman’s advocacy group and is not a teacher.  They are citizens who did not support the blanket amnesty bill.  Her demographic is shrinking fast.”

“Ok ok ok.  I think, yeah, I think I have it!”

“Go!  5 seconds!”

“The woman and her husband and her kids- the American conservative nuclear family!”

“Yes, yes!  Great job!”

“Now what?”

“Now we just keep working to keep it shrinking.  That’s a big part of our job my man.”

“Yeah, right.  Let’s get going.”

“No huge rush man.  It won’t take very long…”

Say What?

“What you mean?”

“What I said.  It looks like they might find the President responsible for it.”

“Well, course he was responsible but he has that right man.  He can appoint anyone he wants!”

“But it needs to be approved by the Senate and it wasn’t.”

“So you sayin’ they wouldn’t have approved the dudes?”

“Not sure but that’s not the point.”

“Sure it is man!  They don’t have the right to approve or disapprove anybody based on just that!”

“Huh?  What are you sayin’?”

“They ain’t got the right- it’s against the law!  Ain’t it?”

“That’s what I think they’re gonna say- that’s what I said.”

“Then it’s all cool.  He got the right and they can’t say no- it IS against the law!”

“Huh?  Do you know what you’re saying?”

“Sure and it’s all cool.  Besides, how can they say that just because they’re brothers?”

“Who said that?  I never said what color they were…why does that matter?”

“It matters man, you crazy?  That’s the whole point ain’t it?  If they weren’t black no one would really care or have said anything.  Whitey would have approved whitey- that’s the deal, we all know it!”

“No, it ain’t the point.  I don’t think you’re getting’ it- it doesn’t matter what color they were.”

“Then how can anybody say it was racist?”

“Racist?  The appointments?  Who said that?”

“You did man!  You said he the court was hearing a case about his racist appointments!”

“Recess, man.  I said recess..”

“Oh.  Man.  Damn!!”

What Now?

“So all the teams have acceptable names now?”

“Actually, just designators.  Names come too close to causing insult or harm.  This has long ago passed.  As, too, have as well what you refer to as the ‘teams’”

“True, friend.  And the energies?”

“All renewable and provided as available.”

“Wonderful!  But the utilization?”

“Controlled and rationed as prescribed.  And the remnants of that religious violation-“

“Yes, yes?”

“Taken care of and erased.  No more of that and no more of He Who Does Not Exist.”

“Schooling?”

“Indoctrination curriculum completely instituted and all learning and advancement equalized.”

“Racism?”

“Those who sought to eliminate it at the source have themselves been eliminated.  It now occupies its just place within the Necessary Discipline System.”

“Sexism?”

“Same thing.  As you know, it, like racism and all other such biases, have been allowed to continue to exist while not being allowed so that they can be utilized properly and when and as needed.  It is convenience and properly so.”

“I had heard that the immigration thing had been-“

“It is no longer called that.  The borders are completely open because-“

“We have joined the World Community!?  Really?  Oh tell me that has finally come to pass friend!”

“Yes, indeed it has.  You have slept for some time friend.”

“Yes.  And the climate, the climate…  Are we now safe?”

“Of course.  Although the seasons could not be completely and finally equalized in all areas it has been decided that our contributions to any aberrations have been eliminated in the World Community of The People.”

“And along with that the endangered environment?”

“No longer endangered you will be pleased to know.  All that is living remains alive, as prescribed, unless otherwise re-designated for use by Those Entitled By Birth.”

“Most welcomed news.  My maintenance session has rendered me a bit confused I must admit, but tell me brother, the wealth,  all that unfairly acquired wealth by those who would selfishly have it at the expense of those who would not- what has become of that?”

“Equalized and fairly distributed.  We no longer refer to it as having been redistributed as it was not originally or fairly distributed in the first place as you well remember.”

“Excellent!  This is the first and foremost of our goals, of our most ultimate objective!  This is what we knew would make all else as it should be, as it was intended by He Who Does Not Exist and executed by Those Entitled By Birth.  Most welcome news for these long-asleep ears my brother!”

“It is, it is indeed.  And all else has followed as you say and as we taught that it would.  No poverty any longer as we are all at an equal level-“

“Except of course by law and decree and rightful fairness to Those Entitled By Birth, but that too is most wonderful news!”

“Yes, yes.  None in poverty, none in wealth, all in equality…as we so many times have said but need to say not any longer.”

“And other things as well?  The health protections?”

“No longer needed as you designate.  It is Provided Health Administration as deemed necessary.”

“Administered by the state?”

“Yes, of course, but it is no longer referred to as such.  It is globally administered at a local level based upon a pooling of all available and equalized resources.  It is working wonderfully.”

“And the protected choices for women?”

“Not needed any longer as the Act has been disallowed.  Procreation is likewise administered and the specific genetics most carefully controlled and only allotted to Those Entitled By Birth or their Special Designates.”

“And what had happened with the personal unions, the so-called marriages?”

“As planned, the law expanded to include and allow all forms until the benefits as provided by decree, called laws at that time, were simply removed.  And once removed-“

“There was no longer any reason for their existence!  Most ingenious!  And the concept of government?”

“Globalized and equalized for we are indeed all the same now.  Socially, culturally, genetically although the latter is still in a somewhat evolutionary phase as might be imagined.”

“Law?  The court system?  Were we successful?”

“Indeed yes.  And in a very quick fashion actually.  All is now administered via the Central Office.”

“And the Arts?”

“Friend, ah, you ask so much but I suppose that is understandable.  The Arts are flourishing and the State Artists are turning out the most correct media you could have possibly ever imagined brother.  There are some who make an attempt to stray but they are quickly identified and corrected.”

“That is good, that is good indeed.”

“Any further inquiries friend?”

“Hunger and disabilities and unfortunate class diseases- have they been eradicated as planned?”

“In a way, yes.  We have not been able to accomplish that noble goal as planned but most items are no longer allowed.  We embarked upon an alternate course some time ago that serves to improve the efficiencies and efficacies of the human condition and the general population.”

“Please, do tell me more!”

“I have already mentioned the Directed Procreation Initiative but we found that we had to do  something in addition as, of course, when equalizing the wealth for all, save for Those Entitled By Birth and their Special Designates, we arrived at a situation that left us globally sort of some unfortunately needed resources.”

“And what was the resolution then pursued?”

“Why increased population efficiency and efficacy.  In a word, the non-essentials were culled in a manner of speaking.  It was the only humane path to follow.”

“Certainly, I can understand.  It makes perfect and proper sense.  So what then now of me?  How am I to assist in the Great Effort?”

“Interesting, it has not been called that in some time.”

“Tell me friend and brother- I was designated for maintenance in 2015.  Please tell me how long was my adjustment period?  Has it been some fifty or more years that all of this has been accomplished?”

“That is indeed interesting friend!  No, not fifty or more years.  It has been a mere ten years in which we have succeeded beyond even that thought possible when you were designated.”

“Outstanding!”

“Interesting though.  After you were designated, well that was before the time of the Great Solution.  You would not be administered in a similar manner today.”

“How would I then be so administered brother?”

“It is easy to understand.  Since all has been accomplished and Those Entitled By Birth and their Special Designates have taken their rightful places there is no longer any Great Effort required- there is nothing left to do.”

“So for me then?”

“As I had mentioned regarding efficiency and efficacy- you must by decree come with me to now take your own proper path in order to best serve the World Community.  But you do indeed have the gratitude of The People for all that you served to help accomplish in the early times.  May He Who Does Not Exist smile on you in your next and final sacrifice my brother.  You have served well.”

It’s the Law. Isn’t It?

“But dad, she wouldn’t let me finish, she kept interrupting me” the young lad said, pleading his case as calmly as he could.

“Son, you shouldn’t have reacted the way you did though’ his father said, sternly but with understanding.

“But I kept trying to tell her that there are, that they kill thousands every year and that they shouldn’t be allowed.  She kept telling me the same thing though, she was SO stubborn and just wouldn’t listen” the boy continued.

“And what did she say?”

“That it is the law, that it’s protected by the Constitution or something like that.”

“Well, that’s not really 100% true” his father said in return.

“Is she lying to me?” the boy asked.

“Son, I don’t really know what she knows so I can’t say if she is lying or not.  The important thing is that she isn’t completely correct, not necessarily” he tried to explain.

“Then who’s right?” the boy wondered.

“Tell me again what happened” his father suggested.

“Well, we got into a discussion on social events and we each needed to pick one as something to discuss.  I took that one, which you and I both believe in, and figured it was a good topic since so many were dying and that it was easy to stop.  We were supposed to disguise our topic and see who could guess what it was by asking questions and the person with the best questions, the best answers, and the person who disguised their topic the best would all win prizes.  Before we finished she suddenly just got real mad, her face turned red and she just started almost yelling at me with things like the fact that it was the law, protected by the Constitution, that we should all just stop arguing it and get on with real issues and stuff like that.  I couldn’t believe it dad!  It was so unfair and I wound up getting sent to the principal’s office.  It just isn’t fair!” he said, now with tears falling from his eyes.

“Take it easy son, now calm down.  I need to call the school and will get this fixed.  Go play for a while” he said, giving his son a calming half-hug as he rose from the couch.

“Ms. Lambertson?” he began when his son’s teacher came on the line.

“Yes, Mr. Gray.  I was hoping that you would call- I wanted to explain my position-“ she began herself but was interrupted.

“Look, I probably don’t need to take up much of your time but can you just tell me why you treated my son as you did?” Mr. Gray asked.

“Mr. Gray, the topic your son chose- and I hope he properly explained the lesson- was not one he should have chosen.  It isn’t relevant as a current event topic.  It’s the law- surely as a lawyer for our civic action committee you should know that” she said, her voice beginning to crack a bit.  She was finding it a bit harder to have the same discussion, the same potential argument, with an adult.

“Well not necessarily Ms. Lambertson.  Perhaps by local statute, yes, but to say it is the law from a constitutional perspective, did you really say that?”

“Maybe I did but I guess I meant that it was defended by the Supreme Court-“

“Yes, but only on a case by case basis-“

“It’s the federal law!” Ms. Lambertson almost screamed into her phone.

“What?” Mr. Gray countered.  “Look I know that almost ten thousand are committed per year and it should be a federalized law but still-“

“Did you say committed?   That’s an odd way to put it.  And your numbers are off by a good bit Mr. Gray but that doesn’t matter…” she said, her voice trailing off a bit before Mr. Gray responded.

“It does matter Ms. Lambertson!  That is what makes it an issue worth fixing, a ‘current event’ worth discussing.  What numbers do you use?” Mr. Gray asked, trying to calm himself and the conversation at the same time.

“Not that it matters, again, because it IS the law but there are over a million performed every year with the last data that I heard-“

“A million?  Performed??  Um, Ms. Lambertson, what are YOU talking about?”

“Choice of course Mr. Gray.  A woman’s choice, a woman’s right to choose.  And it IS the law and WE need to all just realize that and get on with life.  Why are you allowing your son to question it Mr. Gray?  I thought you were of a different mindset, this is rather disappointing to me as a woman and a teacher and certainly since it is coming from a member of the Protect Our Rights Committee” Ms. Lambertson asked.

“Billy’s topic wasn’t abortion Ms. Lambertson.  It was, um,  gun homicides and the moral need to change that law.”

“Oh….my.”

Big Brother Bob

Overheard in a conversation:

“Yeah, I feel bad for him.  I went through the same thing, basically, only probably a lot worse” said one.

“What do you mean?” the other asked.

“I was abused, yelled at, ridiculed, beaten at times by my mother’s boyfriend when I was young.  It was terrible man” the one continued.

The other looked on with serious eyes.  “What happened?”

“My mom had gotten a divorce- never was sure why- and my dad just kind of faded off somewhere.  My mom got this boyfriend who none of us liked and she let him, she really begged him to move in with us” the one explained.

“Why’d she do that?”

“Security I guess, maybe something else but probably that.  She felt that she needed the extra money I guess but I have three brothers and a sister- we all could have gotten jobs close to around that time to help out.  Funny thing is that she got some extra money from him, when he felt like putting it into the family, but in the end it was just all about him having control over her- and all of us too” said the one.

“So he abused you and your brothers and sister?” probed the other.

“As far as I know, yes.  But most of us never mention it and my mom is in a home now and pretends like it never happened.  My oldest brother Bob talked about it though.  He’s the one who finally stepped in and put an end to it.”

“How’d he do that?”

The one, his voice faltering a bit, went on: “When he got old enough and big enough he challenged the jerk and wound up beating him up several times.  He finally had enough especially since it was starting to be me, the smallest and the youngest, who was getting abused most.  Bob always told me that he had to step in to stop what was happening, that’s maybe why he had been born into our family, maybe why he existed.  He was always coming up with thoughts like that.”

The other wanted to know the rest of the history.  “So what wound up happening?”

“Well,” said the one in a voice now stronger, “the jerk got really mad but couldn’t do anything about it with Bob there so he just decided to leave one day.  He was mad at Bob, said he hated him and would deal with him for good one day; said he hated all of us; called my mom a bunch of names and said he hated her and was leaving.  She cried for weeks and blamed Bob for getting in the way.  Bob tried to defend his actions but she wouldn’t listen and told him to move out.  So he did and he never came back.  He tried to make up with my mom but she would never accept him or his explanations.  He never apologized and he shouldn’t have had to in my opinion- and in his.”

“And the jerk?”

“Ran into Bob outside a bar one night and attacked him with a knife.  Cut him bad twice before Bob got the knife away and wound up killing him.  At least he didn’t go to jail- it wasn’t his fault really, not any of it.  He was just doing what he had learned was right- he was protecting us and, he thought, helping my mom to see what this jerk really was all about” explained the one.

“And Bob?”

“Well, that’s the worst part.  He wound up getting married and having a family.  His wife came to me one day and confessed Bob was abusing his kids the same way the jerk had done.  Can you believe it?!? I confronted Bob and he told me to butt out.  I reminded him that he had once felt differenlty, felt it was up to him to get in the way, to protect our family from harm but that now he was guilty of doing the same things that the jerk had done.  I couldn’t believe it was happening, that I was having to talk to him about it.”

“Wow” sighed the other.  “What did he say?”

“Man,” whispered the one, his voice now cracking, “he said that that was then and this is now.  That he is the one in charge and when his kids don’t listen or misbehave or just do something to bug him that he will deal with it in his own way and doesn’t need anyone getting in the way.  I tried again to make him realize what a hypocrite he was being; I tried to reach him and help, if not him then his wife and family.”

“And?”

“He hit me and shoved me out the door.  Told me to mind my own business and let him mind his own, that he knew better than me what was best for his own family regardless of what he had ever done or said before.  I left and wondered if, one day, one of his own sons would step up and stop him.”  The one put his head into his hands as if to cry.

“Wow” repeated the other.  “Wow.  So sad, so wrong.  Thank God that could never happen here in our country.”
